ABOUT THE LITTLE EAST RIVER FARM:
We are a family operation and love welcoming people
to come and join us for the fun and exhilaration of
being with horses at the Little East River Farm.

We bought our land in 1998, and have spent several
years clearing land for fields, paddocks, building sites
and roadways for riding/driving trails.  We have also
built a couple of barns, a cabin, and a lot of fences.
We have rearranged the landscape a bit, digging
several ponds and opening up areas for the horses to
work and play.

We have been teaching riding to people in Muskoka
since 2001, and enjoy meeting more and more people
each year who are visiting the area, or who live here
and have a horse-crazy family member!

We are good teachers, and friendly people.
We have a beautiful group of horses that are our own,
that we keep year 'round, so they know their jobs well.

As well, we have 15-20 cattle - Scottish Highland
Cattle! (They are the ones that look like yaks: long hair
and big horns, and gentle, kind natures.)  While at the
Farm, you'll probably get to see a new-born calf and,
for sure, a herd of interesting, amazing animals.
